Many aftershave lotions and moisturizers contain sun protection (SPF 15 or generally greater) being sufficient for everyday activities being only a few minutes in the sun.
However, if you work or spend a lot of time outdoors, you need a sunscreen that is more protective, water resistant, like the one used on the beach. The water resistant and very water resistant are also good for hot days or while doing sports, because they are less likely to irritate the eyes.
